Is there an opportunity to create a slide feature on boards for connected stickies?Here is more detail on what I mean: When you have a large board that connects stickies with the line/arrow feature, usually those that either have subject matter similarities, patterns or simply demonstrates relation or progress, instead of just drawing an arrow and having to follow it with a cursor function manually (which on a simple board is easy, but on a complex one can get difficult) could you have a slide feature? Which would look something like when you clicked on a particular sticky that had an arrow drawn to something else, a little icon might pop up that says "slide" and it will take you to the sticky its directed/connected to?

OK this is a big one! Almost a new app! The big problem with online conferences is re-creating those conversations, especially around poster presentations. No current system to my knowledge can provide that experience in the virtual world. However, Miro, if adapted could! This is how:Miro creates a conference version of its App. This allows conference organisers to create a series of A0 frames in a “virtual room” on a given topic. Individual presenters within a conference version of Miro could upload their poster into a given slot determined by the organisers and according to conference brochure Visitors (conference delegates) can quickly zoom in and zoom out of individual posters as per normal Miro - equivalent to passing by posters in a conference. Presenters and visitors have a little circle which appears around a poster when people have zoomed within range, and can hear audio discussions. If it seems interesting, clicking on the poster allows for a Zoom style interactive session to open up so that visitors can discuss with presenters. In the long term, travelling around the world and pumping out tonnes of CO2 (1 tonne CO2 per person per round trip between UK and US!!!) is not actually a sustainable way forward. Conferences wont go away entirely, but lets explore ways that we can do things in the virtual realm. Miro in this way could make a large contribution to reducing global warming!

It’s crazy that the feature that makes beautiful labels over connectors is completely ignored by search and that I’d need to use text boxes that look and behave worse to have them show up.

Dark Mode / Night ModeOpen

Miro is fantastic on a massive screen. It’s like you can see, arrange and rearrange your mind in 2d. The bright background and colours work well for feeling energised, fresh, and productive early in the day. For those of us who get more done during the night, however, the brightness can feel glaring and have the opposite effect, causing fatigue, especially with extended use.It feels like a godsend to night-owls that the software industry is finally recognising our needs with dark mode being added to everything. While the implementation would understandably be no small task, I, for one, would greatly benefit from dark mode being added to what has become a fantastic tool in my work and lifestyle.Thank you for Miro, and the Wishlist,Walter

There are some default settings in Miro, that I cannot change. The most annoying is the shape of a new sticky note (square instead of large - i need to adjust this WITH ANY STICKY NOTE I ADD), others are the color of a sticky note, the font size of text etc. As many users have different (and sometimes strong) preferences for different settings, it would be great to have a place where those default settings can be defined by me as the user, similar to the viewing-options already available. A logical place would be in the “preferences” settings...:

Clicking on a confluence link should open the default browserOpen

When a user pastes a Confluence link from Confluence on a board, this creates a “bookmark view” widget (that can also be switched to “embedded” if Confluence is connected to Miro). As a user, I wants to copy the source url, but this is currently not possible: the option “copy link” copies the widget location on the board. As a workaround, a user might simply want to open the link and copy the url from the browser bar. However, if the button to load the page externally is clicked (), this opens a Miro window - not the browser - so no access to the url address bar. I think it would make more sense to simply load the source url on the default browser to solve for this.

Having the ability to draw custom shapes and change both their outline line type and fills would be incredible. Currently this is a major feature lacking for drawing/sketch/annotating. The feature would be similar to a “polyline” or “polygon” tool in other software, where you can add/remove points to create custom shapes, closed curves, etc.

Timeline Layout & OptionsOpen

Timeline function continues to be popular in amongst my group. I’m hoping to see additional functionality continue to flow into the widget. Two features that would be ideal to see: Ability to select/view by half year (H1, H2) in the timeline. This would be an easy option to add if you could start with a standard calendar year of Jan-Jun (H1), and Jul-Dec (H2) In timeline layout, ability to expand/collapse the records panel. All in favour of greater usability in the timeline function.

I would like to have more than one window of the Miro app open at a time. When having really large canvases, it is hard to scroll back and forth to different areas of a canvas when referencing something. What I end up doing most times is open the Mac app and the same board in Chrome. Then I align the two side by side zoomed into different areas of the same canvas. Tools like Figma allow you to have multiple windows of the app open at one time.

Set Default Connection TypeOpen

Users are allowed to set connection type (straight line, curved, etc.) default for their account.Currently, users who prefer a type (I prefer curved) spend a lot of time changing connectors to their default type. Keyboard shortcut for hide/unhideOpen

As a workshop organizer, I hide and unhide lots of frames as we progress through the workshop (or course). When I discover we’re taking a different route than planned, I want re-organize the board’s frames. When doing that, I typically need to:unhide - click (can’t unlock frames if they’re hidden) unlock - Command+L hide - click (to avoid moving things inside a frame, and increase the ‘target area’ for moving the frame) move it - click unhide - click lock - Command+L hide - clickTwo things would help greatly:allowing unlocking of hidden frames a keyboard shortcut to hide/unhideI would guess that adding a keyboard shortcut to hide/unhide, would have very little impact on existing boards and on user’s current knowledge of how to use Miro. Thus that’s what’s being asked for here in this topic.

When I create timelines, I tend to use the weeks setting, which helpfully places the dates in the header column. (See sample images below to clarify.)It would be really helpful for me and my team if the dates included only Monday–Friday. For example, This would mean the dates below would instead be Sep 23–Sep 27, Sep 30–Oct 04, and Oct 07–Oct 11. Planning conversations would be easier if my team and I could just look at this view rather than jumping between here and Google Calendar to see Friday’s date.

Hi, I use Miro basically in german language, but I guess that problem appears also in other languages. It is annoying that on sticky notes longer words are not separated in a correct way. This is a feature which is normal and works fine in a lot of other softwares.Right now I manually edited the text, but if I change the font size I have to delete again manually the separator-signs.I would highly appreciate this feature to be included in Miro. Sorry the conversation with Google ends up so brusque. But when you have to scrounge around five minutes to find a basic feature, and AI is conspiring with conflicting help documents to create distortions that take you even further afield than before, it’s frustrating.
